Ex-criminal Jacob Sternwood (Mark Strong) is forced to return to London from his Icelandic hideaway when his son is arrested after suffering a gunshot wound during a heist gone wrong. This gives Sternwood's arch enemy, detective Max Lewinsky (James McAvoy), his last chance to catch the man he's always been after. As the two nemeses hurtle towards each other, they start to uncover a deeper conspiracy that they will both need to solve in order to survive.
